County codes and weight codes do not matter. 

*Some counties are recording the YOM plate number and not allowing any current plate to be in conflict as a duplicate plate number (this is primarily affecting 1971-1989 YOM plates with 3-letter/3-number combinations). It is recommended to check with your local office that a plate will clear before purchasing. (i.e. a YOM 1983 plate number ABC123 is confilcting with a 2026 handicap plate with number ABC123). 

Take the year-of-manufacture plate to the tag office for verification. The above application must be completed and signed by the tag office (forms also available at the tag office). You keep your regular plate or "Hobby Antique" plate in the car with you, along with the Affidavit form to legally display your YOM plate.
